we ask everyone to wear a mask when indoors at the Observatory.

NJAA will be CLOSED
Saturday evening 9/9/2023

The safety of our members and visitors is our utmost priority at the New Jersey Astronomical Association.  Regrettably, we must announce the cancellation of our regularly scheduled Saturday evening star gazing event, which was planned for tonight, due to the likelihood of severe thunderstorms in the forecast from 6:00pm to 1:00AM Sunday.

We understand that these events are eagerly anticipated, and we share your disappointment in having to make this decision. However, safety concerns dictate that we exercise caution when weather conditions pose potential risks.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you back under “clear" skies next Saturday evening.
